Description

The Role
The framework covers reactive and planned maintenance of the water network, as well as the instillation of new water meters, and consists of high volume low value works. On a day-to-day basis you will manage the commercial team, ensuring that workload is covered effectively and the team is working efficiently. You’ll also support the operations teams with any commercial issues.
As the Commercial Manager you will be responsible for:
Ensuring sites fully comply with the required contractual & commercial procedures
Making sure systems are in place to manage and monitor risk
Checking that administrative systems are sufficient to produce required commercial records
Driving down risk and cost whilst improving profitability
Liaising with clients to ensure they are fully informed on commercial and contractual matters
Ensuring that monthly cost and value reconciliations are submitted to the commercial manager.
Experience Required
Suitable applicants will need to be able to demonstrate experience as a Managing Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager with a main contractor background. You’ll need to have experience of working on collaborative partnerships and ideally working on high volume low value projects or frameworks.
Knowledge of NEC type contracts is also essential.
