Description

A major contractor that operate a number of frameworks in the highways sector are seeking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to complement their team in Hampshire
The Role

Reporting to the Commercial Manager your responsibilities will include:
Procurement of subcontractors for geotechnical, structures and drainage packages
Maintaining accurate cost and value records for each Maintenance Activity & Scheme to present to management and to support applications to the client
Maintaining an assessment of commercial risks for the contract
Ensure applications are maximised and submitted on time and payments for works are received on time and resolve contractual disputes where necessary.
Experience Required
You must be educated to HNC/ BSc Quantity Surveying / BEng Civil Engineering and be able to demonstrate experience as a project or senior QS working on civil engineering or highways projects. You will have a thorough understanding of NEC contracts and have first class communication skills.
