Description
Due to a successfully awarded tender an opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor has become available to take the lead commercial role on a civil engineering scheme.
The project is valued at £9M and consists of a 4km gravity sewer and pumping station and is part of the wider five year framework the company have been awarded.
The project is based near Swindon however deepening on where the successful candidate lives the role could be carried out site based or in the companies offices near Reading, Berkshire.
The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Manager and Framework Director responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Providing commercial support to the operational teams on the project
Subcontract procurement
Cost reporting, forecasting and contract budget reports
Ensure accurate and effective cost control is maintained
Assist with and oversee periodic progress valuations and claims
Identify and manage contractural and commercial risks and opportunities.
Experience Required
Suitable applicants will be educated to BSc Quantity Surveying or similar and will be able to demonstrate no less than five years experience working at Senior QS level.
A succesful proven track record of commercial success working on civil engineering, infrastructure or utility projects is essential.
