Senior Procurement Officer
Waterloo, London
£48,000 + Package

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Procurement Officer to join our clients’ Procurement team. Our clients’ specialist division forms part of a wider global group which operates in over 100 countries.

The main purpose of this role is to support the procurement needs of their infrastructure business which includes but is not limited to urban and inter-urban environments working on smart city and smart motorway transport solutions, energy connections, communications, highway lighting and civil engineering.

You will be based in Waterloo, South East London and the role will include frequent site visits throughout the UK & Ireland.

Main purpose of the role:

Execution of the Project Supply Chain Strategy
Develop the national and regional supply chain to suit the demand
Outsource, tender and negotiate Single Works Agreements for all project works (above £100,000) and follow projects with Project Managers
To provide Procurement advice to the operations teams

Required:

A member of (or working towards membership of) CIPS
Experience of material and subcontract procurement within a Civil Engineering & Infrastructure or Communications environment
Excellent communication skills, together with effective negotiation skills
Strong analytical skills
Team player
Knowledge of ERP and Procurement systems
