Description

A civl engineering contractor is seeking to appoint an interim Commercial Director to support a £300M business unit. The company have interests across civils, infrastructure, utilities and a own a manufacturing plant. This is a strategic role and offers a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to help shape the future success of an established organisation.

The Role
A general overview of responsibilities:
Taking ownership of the P&L for the business unit
Creation and implementation of the sector business strategy and implementation of the business plan
Provision of contractual support to a number of lives schemes across the country
Identification and administration of contractual risks and obligations
Managing sub-contract and professional procurement
Recruitment of staff

Experience Required
Suitable applicants will have carried out a Commercial Director role within the civil engineering or utility business in the UK.
You will be able to demonstrate a proven track record at implementing strategy and change within a business and ultimately increasing profitability.
The role requires National Travel requiring the successful candidate to lodge away three nights per week.
