Construction Manager

An interesting opportunity is available for a Construction Manager to provide key leadership in the day to day delivery of small value but high spec construction projects for a privately owned, but growing specialist building business based in the Bristol area.

The company has a high-end client base across South West area with multiple contracts valued up to c£300k, plus they have a couple of complementary businesses that you would also have involvement with (but not responsibility for).

The key responsibilities for the position are as follows;

• Day to day management of multiple projects and associated site teams
• Management of resource as per agreed programmes
• Management of sub-contractors
• Client meetings as required
• Link in with design team as required
• Monitor project budgets and timescales

The role would be ideally suited to someone who has a good grounding in construction either from having owned their own business, and / or having worked in a particular client focused construction environment, however the successful candidate will hold the following skillset;

Have a proven track record operating at management level within construction

• Hold construction qualifications allied to either the building or civils sectors
• Be a proven communicator at all levels, including inhouse construction team, sub-contractors and the client
• Competent in the areas of H & S and QA within the construction sector
• Hold strong commercial acumen
• IT literate
