Description
A major infrastructure contractor are seeking to recruit a Senior Highways Engineer to complement their growing design team in Peterborough.
This is an exciting and somewhat unique opportunity for a bright and ambitious engineer to work as part of an integrated design and delivery team. The company deliver major projects such as Crossrail and some of the largest highways improvements / widening schemes in Europe.
The Role
Reporting to the Principle Engineer responsibilities will include
Managing highway designs prepared by engineers and technicians
Preparing and checking engineering output including technical reports
Providing leadership and technical advice to the engineering teams.
Experience Required
Suitable applicants should be able to demonstrate no less than five to ten year relevant infrastructure design experience and have a detailed understanding of design manual for roads and bridges.
Yo uwill have a proven track record of managing design teams to achieve client time, cost and quality expectations.
Skills using software such as AutoCAD Civils 3D/Bentley MX Roads and WinDES Microdrainage
A relevant degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering is essential.
