xDue to a recently awarded tender an opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor has become available working for a civil engineering contractor in East Anglia.
The business turn over in excess of £600M per annum and operate on a National basis across the civils, rail and utility sectors.
This role is expected to run for 12 months and is therefore open to candidates on a contract basis or fixed term contract arrangement.
The Role
The successful Senior QS will manage two sites, one in Norwich and the other close to Thetford. The project is design and build administered under FIDIC terms and conditions.
Scope of works will include a major pipeline, both water and gas and electrical ducting packages. It is an innovative project for a commercial client.
Duties will include supply chain procurement and full range of post contract QS duties from managing sub-contract accounts, cost reporting, CVR's and agreeing final accounts.
You will also provide leadership and guidance to the Assistant Quantity Surveyor that will support you.
Experience Required
Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate no less than five years Senior QS experience and will have a good working knowledge of FIDIC contracts.
You will have proven commercial track record in the delivery of civil engineering schemes in the UK.
