Description
The Role will involve facilitating extensive organisational change to deliver the future asset management vision and this role will be accountable for ensuring that the business achieves its long-term approach to asset management and data governance in alignment with the principles of ISO55000, covering all infrastructure assets.
The Head of Asset Systems and Processes will build asset management capability and knowledge , ensuring industry leading approaches to facilitate future planning.
The Head of Asset Systems and Processes responsibilities will include:
Managing a team of technical experts, providing leadership and direction, setting the people agenda and vision, maximising performance, and facilitating a developmental environment.
Creating and communicating the vision and strategic improvement programme for asset management ensuring the development and management of the asset management policy, and the suitability, adequacy and effectiveness of the AM system and framework in alignment with the client objectives.
Integrating the asset management system requirements into the organisation's business processes and any existing management systems.
Owning, developing, and implementing asset lifecycle processes, including the framework for asset risk management and the "risk and value" process. Ensuring that the approach used for managing risk in asset management is aligned with our clients' approach for managing risk and deliver the performance and efficiency.
Accountable for the delivery and implementation of Asset Data governance and standards within the Asset Management Strategy.
Experience Required
Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate no less than ten years experience in a leadership role working within asset intensive industries such as water, rail, aviation or highways.
Able to define and implement a management system and a practical working knowledge of ISO 55000.
Strong written and verbal communications to support leadership role requirements articulate vision and to inform executive level business reporting.
Proficient at identifying weak points in processes and delivering continuous improvement through process enhancement. Able to assess organisational capability and readiness for change.
Proven experience of developing and operating asset risk-based systems and methodologies to deliver organisational objectives.
Understand asset information strategic requirements and water industry data standards.
Degree qualified in a relevant discipline
