Description

As part of their continued growth a tier one civil engineering and infrastructure contractor have a fantastic opportunity for a Procurement Supply Chain Manager to complement their team in East Sussex. The position has been created as a result of a recently awarded five year framework which forms part of the Asset Management Programme (AMP 7) within the water sector.
This presents a rare chance to join the business at the early stages of the project cycle allowing the appointed individual genuine chance to add value and steer the strategic direction of the business.

The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Director this position will take accountability for the procurement department including development of the supply chain strategy.
Responsibilities will include: interfacing with the commercial and operational teams to monitor efficiency and supply chain performance;
Reviewing costs, efficiencies and supplier capabilities and performance reviews of sub-contractors;
Supporting the pre-contracts division, compiling reports for director meetings, identifying risks, threats and opportunities in the market.

Experience Required
Suitable applicants must be educated to degree level and will ideally be working towards or be of Chartered status and be able to demonstrate no less than 4-5 years in a lead supply-chain or procurement role. A good working knowledge of NEC3 / 4 is essential and a thorough working knowledge of the water sector is required.
