Description
As part of their ongoing business transformation and improvement programme a infrastructure services provider have an opportunity for a Business Partner Manager to join thier IT department .
This is a hybrid working role with two days per week expected to work in their office in West Sussex.
The Business Partner Manager will (BPM) proactively serve as an interface and is the primary IT point of contact to senior managers within their respective business department .
The Business Partner manager is accountable for the management, direction, control and assurance of end to end IT services for their departement ensuring that IT initiatives and deliverables contributes, support and add value to business strategies and objectives.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of IT Business Partners the he BPM will utilities their deep understanding of both the respective business domain and technology in order to drive innovation and shape demand initiatives for technology that increases business value.
Responsibilities will inclide:
Maintaining a close relationship with the business to understand and influence its strategy, processes, plans and needs. Coach business partners and enable them to articulate the technology needs and requirements in their function that will advance business performance.
Proactively identify business capability and IT service/capability gaps and ensure continuous improvement in value optimisation, IT performance and business processes where applicable.
Act as the business change entry point for all IT requirements within the respective business domain and manage the initiative pipeline prioritisation ensuring alignment to corporate strategy.
Partner with business unit or function leaders on pre-project ideation.
Partner with business and IT leaders to evaluate proposals, build business cases, plan new joint initiatives and determine how they fit into business capability roadmaps and priorities.
Assure solution and project delivery by working with Project Managers and Business Analysts to ensure that essential business requirements are understood, captured and reflected appropriately and that business benefits are appropriately identified and delivered.
Experience Required
Suitable applicants will ideally hold a BRMP Qualification and will have an in-depth understanding of IT, emerging technologies, trends solution, architecture and the vendor landscape.
A significant demonstrable track record of delivering or creating technology solutions to solve business problems is essential ,as is portfolio management and experience of managing senior business owners and advising on business prioritisation.
First class communication and presentation skills are vital to this role as is the ability to build rapport with and negotiate with senior colleagues and. stakeholders.
Any experience working in an asset intensive company or industry will be beneficial, GIS or OT experience is desirable.
