Description

As a result of continued growth within the civil engineering and multi-utility sectors a contractor who operate internationally are seeking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to complement their commercial team in London. The business work on behalf of a range of clients and have recently been awarded work on the prestigious HS2 , current projects range in value from £1M - £10M each. The company are well placed offer top performing Quantity Surveyors the opportunity to progress to MQS and Commercial Manager roles within the next few years, they are privately owned and have impressive forward order books with work beyond 2025.

The Role
Reporting to the Managing QS the Senior QS will be responsible for the full range of post contract duties including;
• Preparation and presentation of valuations.
• Compiling and agreeing variations and final accounts.
• Accurate and timely Cost Value Reports
• Supporting the Commercial Manager and Senior Contracts Manager in account forecasting and budgeting.]
• Resolution of contractual disputes.
• Provision of accurate and constructive feedback to the estimating team.
• Supporting the bid management process

Experience Required
Suitable candidates will be educated to BSc Quantity Surveying or similar and will have no less than five years post graduate experience working on civil engineering, infrastructure or utility projects.
A good understanding of NEC forms of contracts is essential.
