Description

As part of their planned expansion a leading cost and project management consultancy have an excellent opportunity for a Procurement Manager to complement their rail division in the South East.
The consultancy operate on a framework basis with a range of clients in the rail and infrastructure sector. They have developed a reputation for delivering a quality driven service and adding real value to their clients, they are well placed to support employees with ongoing professional development and achieving Chartered Status.

The Role
The Procurement Manager's focus will be to carry out technical tender activities to support the delivery of rail projects valued up to £10M each.
Responsibilities will include:
Developing ad improving procurement strategies
Carrying out the full range of procurement activities including pre-qualifications, tendering and preparing contracts
Support and providing leadership and advice to junior members of the procurement team and parts of the supply chain as necessary
Engaging with and managing a range of supply chain partners to positively influence efficiencies and opportunities.
Manage and measure supplier performance and communicate effectively to ensure continuous improvement.

Experience Required
Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate a successful track record in procurement working on a variety of contracts and strategies.
Ideal candidates will be working towards or will have achieve MCIPS and will have knowledge of the rail sector.
