Description

Due to a recently awarded tender a privately owned multi-disciplined contractor are seeking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to work on a civil engineering and build project in Somerset. The scheme is valued at £20M-£25M and is currently at design stage with an expected construction time of two years.
The project comprises of a mixture of civil engineering and building packages and will involve the construction of access roads the design and build of a large commercial & industrial unit and all associated utility installations,

The Role
Reporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor the Quantity Surveyor's responsibilities will include supporting the Senior QS an MQS with:
Sub-contract procurement and management
Identification and management of change to the contract
Preparation of accurate cost value reconciliation reports
Preparation and agreement of interim valuations
Agree final accounts with subcontractors

Experienced Required
Suitable Quantity Surveyors will be educated to HNC / Degree level in related discipline and will be able do demonstrate a proven track record of commercial success working on civil engineering projects for a recognised contractor. A thorough working knowledge of NEC & JCT contracts is essential.
This role will suit both experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyors and Quantity Surveyors seeking a rewarding role on a high profile project.
This role is based in Somerset and would suit someone local to the site, For applicants outside of the region a tax free lodge allowance is on offer.
