Description

A major infrastructure services provider have an exciting opportunity for a Service Transition Lead head up the implementation of a new strategic direction for IT Service Transition across the business as well as manage, support and develop the Service Transition team.
This is a newly created role you will be joining at the start of our exciting journey of IT transformation and will get the chance to make a real difference and add great value on helping us minimise risk, meet regulatory requirements and improve environmental and customer service performance.
This is a hybrid working role with 1 day per week required in the office. The contract is a minimum of six months with every likely hood of being extended significantly.

The Role
Maintain Service Transition Management resource utilisation and demand, allocating existing resources to suitable transition projects and identifying where recruitment of temporary resource is required, profiling STM resource type and recruiting/flexing as necessary.
Take responsibility for end-to-end Service Transition governance, policy, process and procedures.
Undertake the role of Service Transition Specialist when necessary for more complex Transition projects/programmes
Ensures clarity on the division of responsibilities for service components ensuring there are no gaps in the provision of the full end to end service
Take responsibility for implementing the strategic direction for Service Transition set by the Service Delivery Management Manager, as well as work as a Service Transition Management specialist on complex programmes.

Experience Required
With a proven track record of Service Transition you will be able to demonstrate experience executing process development and change within a large and complex environment.
You will have excellent communication, stakeholder and line management skills and have a passion for supporting, mentoring, and developing your team. Significant experience in Service Management disciplines is essential.
