Description
As part of its continued growth and a strong pipeline of successful tenders, a major construction contractor is seeking to appoint an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to join its expanding commercial team, working on high-profile civil engineering projects.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a privately owned contractor with ambitious long-term growth plans. You will become one of four Managing Quantity Surveyors reporting directly to the Commercial Director, with genuine opportunities to progress into a Commercial Manager position as the business continues to expand.

The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will lead commercial activities on civil engineering projects valued between £10m and £50m.
Key responsibilities will include:
Leading and mentoring Quantity Surveying teams
Full post-contract commercial management
Subcontract procurement and management
Cost, value, and change reporting
Managing compensation events and contractual change
Attending and leading client meetings
Supporting commercial strategy and project delivery
Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and contractual requirements
Requirements
To be considered for this Managing Quantity Surveyor role, you should have:
BSc in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Managing Quantity Surveyor on projects valued at £10m+
Strong knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts
Experience within civil engineering, infrastructure, highways, rail, or earthworks projects
Excellent commercial management and stakeholder engagement skills
