Description
This role is with the utility division and the wider group maintains a strong presence in civils, rail, aviation,n and construction.
The Role is a hybrid working role with 2/.3 days per week expected in the office or on site.
The Role
- Reporting to the Managing QS you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of work valued at £15M
- Providing leadership and support to junior members of the team and contractual advice and support to the operations delivery management
- Reviewing subcontractors and engaging with and expanding the supply chain
- Raising new subcontracts, monitoring, and adherence to governance levels
- Managing and reporting on changes to the contract
- Working closely with the Operational Lead to ensure that data is recorded accurately and identify risks and commercial opportunities. Carry out sub-contract evaluations and authorise payments
- Suitable applicants will be educated to HNC / BSc Quantity Surveying and will have no less than five years QS experience working within the civil engineering or utility sectors.
- You will have a thorough understanding of NEC forms of contracts and will be able to demonstrate a stable career history gained in either a sub or main contractor environment.
