Description
The company carries out a variety of projects, including coastal defence, port & harbour regeneration and development, river management, and public realm schemes.
The Quantity Surveyor will form part of a commercial team working on a major civil engineering infrastructure project that is due for completion in 2030.
This is a hybrid working role, with three days per week expected to be spent on-site or in the office.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor, responsibilities will include:
Collection, review, and analysis of site data, and maintaining cost records
Subcontract procurement & change management
Completion of early warnings, compensation events, and their agreement with the client
Carry out monthly Cost & Value reconciliations
Forecasting cost throughout the project life cycle
Preparation of monthly project valuations and agreements with the client through to the final account
Experience Required
Suitable Quantity Surveyors will be educated in BSc Quantity Surveying or equivalent and be able to demonstrate no less than five years post-graduate experience working on civil engineering projects.
An excellent working knowledge of NEC contracts is highly desirable.
