Description
The purpose fo the role is to support a busy purchasing / buying team with administrative duties to help ensure the smooth and efficient running of the department.
This role is currently on a hybrid working basis.
The Role
Reporting to the buyer day to day responsibilities will inclide:
Assisting the business in ensuring that all procedures are adhered to and all receipting of goods received notes are done correctly and in a timely fashion.
Assisting with any invoice queries with suppliers and rectify where necessary.
Manage negotiations with suppliers in order to obtain the most appropriate and cost effective options.
Recognise, amend and facilitate order requisitions so that best value source is used, prior to ordering.
Interacting with colleagues and operational teams to ensure that expected volumes are competently dealt with.
Checking internal resource availability prior to ordering externally.
Experience Required
Suitable applicants will be be able to demonstrate experience working in a commercially focuses administrative role, ideally within the construction sector.
You will be self motivated with a demonstrable ability to work in a busy environment
Experience of working under pressure and be highly organised.
