Description
The Project Planner will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and reporting on project programmes in accordance with the requirements of the project.
This is a Hybrid role and there is therefore a degree of flexibility as to where the Planner resides. The company have a regional network of offices across London, Kent, Berkshire, Hampshire and
Sussex.
The Role
Responsibilities of the Planner will include:
-Creating, maintaining, reviewing and administering the construction programme in Microsoft Project or Oracle Primavera P6 throughout the project lifecycle.
-Producing monthly updates & reports in line with the contractual requirements.
-Liaising with the project team to discuss the progress of the project and address any issues that arise.
-Liaising with the commercial team to track change and prepare programmes to support commercial claims.
-Manage third-party contributions to the programme.
-Present information for internal meetings on the project.
-Producing short and long-term lookahead programmes.
The Project Planner will a have:
-Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring, and controlling programmes
-Understanding of the NEC construction contracts and a knowledge of how to develop a programme in line with the requirements
-High level of attention to detail
-Excellent communication
Qualifications/Experience required
-Construction-related qualification and/or at least 3 years’ experience preferably on medium to large projects is desirable
A solid understanding of NEC Contracts
-Experience in use of Microsoft Project & Oracle Primavera P6
-Experience on recognition and recording of any change requirements
-Experience in actively measuring and monitoring project performance
