Description
The Planner will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and reporting on project programmes in accordance with the requirements across multiple projects in the rail sector.
This role is hybrid working with three days per week expected in the London office.
The Role
Some of the Planner's responsibilities will include:
Delay analysis, using NEC3 and JCT contracts
Creating, maintaining, reviewing and administering the construction programme in Microsoft Project or Oracle Primavera P6 throughout the project lifecycle.
Producing monthly updates & reports in line with the contractual requirements.
Liaising with the project team to discuss the progress of the project and address any issues that arise.
Liaising with the commercial team to track change and prepare programmes to support commercial claims.
Manage third party contributions to the programme.
Present information for internal meetings on the project.
Producing short and long term lookahead programmes.
The Project Planner will also have:
Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring, and controlling programmes
Understanding of the NEC & JCT construction contracts and a knowledge of how to develop a programme in line with the requirements
High level of attention to detail
Excellent communication
Qualifications/Experience required
Construction related qualification and/or at least 3 years’ experience within the rail sector
Experience in use of Microsoft Project & Oracle Primavera P6
Experience on recognition and recording of any change requirements
Experience in actively measuring and monitoring project performance
