Description

A unique, high profile opportunity for a Programme Lead has become available with a major water provider in the South of England.
This is a newly created position that should appeal to an individual who is passionate about environmental sustainability as the role will influence major changes and efficiencies that will benefit our planet. The Programme Lead will be accountable for coordinating and delivering initiatives that will help reduce water extraction and network inputs resulting from overall reduced water consumption.

The Role
Reporting to Director of Change and Programme Delivery this is a challenging role offering a great deal of variety.
The Programme Lead will be required to learn and gain an external view through engagement with stakeholders, board members, industry innovators and local authorities and will be the central point of coordination for the delivery of an ambitious programme.

Responsibilities will include:
Budget management
Ensuring that there is clear and simple governance in place, a plan of activities and outcomes continuously maintained
Effective risk and issue management, reporting and communications outputs appropriate for different audiences
Short and long-term planning including.identification of investment and outcome opportunities
Carrying out debates, testing and validating ideas and innovations that will help reach the overall programme objective.

Experience Required
Applicants will be educated to Degree level, it is essential you are passionate about the environment and able to communicate effectively with a wide spectrum of people.
You will be able to demonstrate experience of coordinating and delivering a programme and understand the principles of working with SME's.
A deep understanding of the natural world and sustainability issues and overwhelming desire to drive positive change is essential.

This role is a hybrid working role with two days per week based in the office in either East or West Sussex.
