Description
A leading privately owned civil engineering contractor has an opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to lead a portfolio of projects in the power sector. The company works as both a Tier 1 and 2 contractors with a broad range of clients including service providers, major developers, rail & highways authorities and land owners, typical projects range in value from £5M-£20M.
The Senior Project Manager will manage several Sub Station builds valued between £15M - £20M each projects are based in Oxford and Swindon.
Over the past 10 years, the business has experienced significant organic growth and with further organic growth expected over the next five years, the Senior Project Manager can expect the opportunity for further career advancement.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Contracts Manager the Project Manager will provide support and guidance to the Construction Manager and wider operational site-based teams.
Responsibilities will include
Taking projects through from the planning stage to Wayleave agreement and detailed design and build
Agreeing the timescales, costs and resources needed to deliver the project
Recruitment of providing leadership to the team
Maintaining effective communication with stakeholders and reporting on project progress
Developing excellent rapport with the client stakeholders and supply chain.
Experience Required
Suitable applicants will be educated to a HND / BSc level and will be able to demonstrate experience working on civil engineering, infrastructure or utilities projects.
Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate a proven track record in the delivery of Gas Insulated Substations (GIS) build projects
