Description
A privately owned civil engineering contractor are seeking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to work as part of a team on a regeneration project in Central London SE1.
The business are on track with their planned expansion and work with a diverse portfolio of clients. They have a healthy range of live projects spanning across the civill engineering and infrastructure sector.
The scope of works forms part of their ongoing involvement in this major urban regeneration scheme over the past five years, the initial scheme is valued at £10M and further work are secured in the area.
The Role
Working along side the MQS the Quantity Surveyors responsibilities will include;
Sub-contract procurement and management
Identifying and managing change to the contract
Handling client queries and developing good working relationships together
Assisting with monthly valuations and cost reporting
Experience Required
Suitable applicants will be educated to BSc Quantity Surveying and will be able to demonstrate no less than three to four years experience working on civils contracts.
A good understanding of NEC and JCT contracts is essential.
