Description
The role should appeal to a Quantity Surveyor seeking the opportunity to work on a significant five year programme that will be delivered under a design and build arrangement. A potential selling point is that the role does not require the QS to carryout CVR's, so is potentially perfect for someone seeking to reduce the stress levels in their day to day.
The Role
Working along side a team of QS's and reporting to the commercial lead the Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for and assist with the following:
Developing the contract with the supply chain, defining payment terms and required insurances
Working along side the procurement team, assist with procurement and management of some of the "softer " professional services elements
Help put together the scope of works
Support with the development of the future model
Administration of the contract with the supply chain under NEC conditions
Experienced Required
Suitable applicants will be educated to BSc Quantity Surveying or similar and will have a good working knowledge of NEC, ICE or JCT contracts.
Experience working on civil engineering projects is desirable but not essential.
