Senior Estimator – Water & Wastewater

Location: South East - Hybrid Working
Rate: £85K+ Package
Contract Type: Permanent

About the Role

Our client, a leading organisation within the water sector, is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their growing team. This is a key role supporting the delivery of high-quality bids, ensuring robust pricing, risk management and strong commercial governance across water and wastewater projects.

Key Responsibilities

Provide expert estimating support for bids and contracts, ensuring accuracy, compliance and commercial rigour.

Advise the Senior Management Team on commercial risks and influences impacting tender submissions.

Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to gather accurate and timely cost data and estimates.

Ensure supplier/subcontractor terms align with client requirements; assess impacts of any deviations.

Prioritise workload effectively and support the estimating team to meet deadlines and business needs.

Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders including clients, suppliers and operational teams.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance performance.

Key Requirements

Essential:

Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Senior Estimator within the water and wastewater sector.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Proven experience working with water/wastewater pricing, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Desirable:

Degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.

Strong commercial acumen with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
