A leading civil engineering principal contractor has an opportunity for a Senior Quantity to work on HS2
The HS2 Main Civils Contracts include both Lots S1 (Euston Tunnels & Approaches) and S2 (Northolt Tunnels).
Scope of works: the main works include twin-bored tunnels (TBM driven), SCL tunnels/adits, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, utilities diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.

The Role
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the commercial delivery of major utility diversions along the HS2 route from London Euston to the West.
You will provide support to the commercial team, helping to ensure that all contracts are run as commercially efficiently as possible. The role will also involve a great deal of client-facing interaction.
Responsibilities inclide:

Generating revenue and cost reports.
Producing ‘Schedule of Rates’.
Reconciling Subcontractor costs and preparing payment certificates.
Liaising with Operations and Planning to monitor job progress and scope changes.
Reviewing scheme works to ensure targets are on track to be achieved.
Analysing of weekly and monthly cost and revenue data.

Experience Required
The successful candidate will be educated to BSc Quantity Surveying or equivalen,
It is expected that you will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of success at Senior Quantity Surveyor level.
You will have no less than 5 years of experience working within the civil engineering, utility or rail sectors for a recognised contractor.
A thorough understanding of NEC contracts is essential.
