Description
The project is a major water infrastructure scheme in East Anglia that will ensure long-term supply of water to some of the driest and most remote parts of East Anglia.
The Supply Chain Team was set up and based on project principles of early supplier engagement, identifying package of work and creating multi supplier teams to deliver value through reduced scope, innovative ideas as well as cost savings.
The Supply Chain Manager will lead and support two managers to ensure the supply chain is in place, obtain quotations and work with Commercial colleagues to place value for money orders to be delivered to site at the right time. You will also be expected to complete your own procurement packages as well as managing and supporting your team.
This is a hybrid working role with two days per week working in the Peterborough office.
The Role
· General day to day team management.
· Acting as a mentor and sounding board to you team to develop best commercial outcomes for SPA.
· Ability to prioritise and work in a fast moving programme.
· You will be required to complete your own procurement tasks to provide additional resource to a challenging programme.
· Complete monthly reports for the Board
· Upward Management of stakeholders.
· Establishing a value driven supply chain
· Category / procurement strategy development within a regulated or OJEU compliant environments
· Mobilising and integrating suppliers
· Managing supplier performance
· Developing and implementing commercial / reward models that drive desired behaviours and greater value
· Developing supplier capabilities and behaviours
Experience Required
Suitable Supply Chain Managers will be educated to Degree level and must able to demonstrate a stable career history with experience working within the civil engineering or construction sectors.

Team Management.
Influencing at a senior level.
Defining and establishing of supply chain partners that deliver maximum value
Effectively integrating suppliers such that they deliver out-performance and bringing forward opportunities for innovation
Development of Procurement Strategy / Category Plans
Supplier capability development
Knowledge of EU Procurement Regs
