Description
The company carry out a variety of projects including coastal defense, port & harbour regeneration and development, river management and public realm schemes.
Projects range from £500K - £15M in value and clients include local authorities, the environment agency and private developers.
The Role
As a Foreman your role will include but is not limited to the following:
-Ensure that all site personnel and visitors are wearing the correct PPE in accordance with the site rules and specific risk assessments.
-All safety and environmental rules are followed.
-Carry out weekly HSE inspection checklist and create a safe working environment and maintain standards of H&S, environment and quality.
-Carry out briefing talks and promote health, safety and environment and quality culture and record achievements.
-Supervises all site operatives, dealing with performance and training needs.
-Ensuring workforce conduct & site tidiness.
-Delivering site inductions & toolbox talks to all personnel.
-Supervises the workmanship and quality of the work.
-Managing timekeeping and productivity to maximize the efficient use of plant and resources.
-Ensure the operators complete daily plant inspection sheets and are returned weekly to Head Office.
-Complete a site daily diary and complete allocation sheets.
-Manage the use of materials on site including; completion of material requisitions, ensure delivery tickets are being checked and signed, proper storage and waste minimization incl. waste segregation for disposal.
-Raise any design and buildability concerns to the attention of engineer/manager.
Taking responsibility for site security, boundary fences, traffic management and the like.
-Liaising with site manager regarding programme, resources, temporary work’s needs, material supply.
-Provide input into method statements and risk assessments.
-Ensuring compliance with method statements and risk assessments.
-Ensuring the clerk of works/inspectors check work prior to covering up.
-Ensures that sites are left in a clean and tidy state on completion.

-Proven experience of working within the Construction Industry at a supervisory level
-Full driving license
-Supervisor CSCS card
-Site Safety Plus - SSSTS certificate or SMSTS certificate
-First Aid at Work Certificate
-Fire Warden
-CPCS Lift Supervisor (desirable)
-Temporary Works Supervisor
