Description
Due to recently awarded work a top ten contractor are seeking to appoint a quantity surveyor to work on a major infrastructure project in Somerset. As a business they are well known for successfully delivering some of the UK’s most high profile civil engineering and infrastructure projects in modern times from the London Olympics to Crossrail and major rail, highways, bridges and tunnelling contracts. The Role
Working as part of the commercial team your responsibilities will include:
Cost collation exercises to assist with feasibility studies and pre-contract cost control.
Providing input with respect to the evaluation and negations of sub-contract tenders.
Identification and assessment of risks to the budget and construction programme.
Collating information for cost reports.
Communicating commercial progress with senior members of the operational teams.
Managing change and compensation events.
Experience Required
This role is open to quantity surveyors with no less than two to three years post graduate experience, the salary offered to you the successful candidate will reflect the level of experience and expertise you can offer.
You will have a good understanding of NEC contracts gained working on civil engineering or infrastructure projects in the UK.
