Description

An excellent opportunity has become available for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to work for a water services provider in Berkshire.
The business provide both clean and foul water solutions to millions of households and business across the South East of England, they are currently undertaking a number of significant changes and as such are seeking an ambitious, career minded MQS to carry out this important role.
This position offers the chance to work for a market leader who offer fantastic training, including support for APC / RICS and career development to their staff, they are also in a position to offer continuity of work for the foreseeable within the Berkshire region.

The Role
Working closely with the commercial lead and contracts manager responsibilities will include:
Carrying out contractor procurement for schemes
Providing commercial advice and support to operational teams
Providing leadership and guidance to a number of Quantity Surveyors
Managing payment applications through liaising with internal finance teams
Assisting with dispute resolution where required

Experience Required
Suitable applicants will be educated to BSc Quantity Surveying and will be able to demonstrate experience working on civil engineering or utility projects,
water experience is not essential. You will have a proven track record of commercial delivery under NEC contracts.
A good understand of procurement strategy is a must, applications will be considered from professional SQS or MQS's with experience working client or contractor side.
