Lead the Commercial Success of Major Water Infrastructure Projects
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Framework Manager to oversee the successful delivery of a long-term infrastructure framework within the UK water sector.
This senior leadership role combines commercial management, contract administration and stakeholder engagement, ensuring a portfolio of engineering projects is delivered safely, efficiently and profitably. You'll work alongside operational, commercial and technical teams to drive performance, strengthen client relationships and ensure contractual excellence throughout the lifecycle of complex capital projects.
If you have extensive experience managing NEC contracts, leading commercial teams and working within utilities, infrastructure or engineering, this role offers the chance to influence strategic delivery across a significant programme of works.
The Role
Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will take overall responsibility for the commercial and contractual performance of an established project framework. Acting as the key interface between the business and the client, you will ensure projects are commercially robust, operationally effective and aligned with contractual obligations.
This is a highly visible role requiring strong leadership, commercial awareness and the ability to build long-term relationships with clients, supply chain partners and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the commercial and contractual management of a portfolio of infrastructure projects.
Provide strategic direction across framework delivery, ensuring commercial objectives are achieved.
Manage NEC contracts, including compensation events, early warnings, change management and risk mitigation.
Monitor financial performance through forecasting, budgeting, valuations and final account management.
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
Support operational teams with commercial advice throughout project delivery.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies, reduce commercial risk and maximise profitability.
Promote best practice in governance, compliance and contract management.
Lead, mentor and develop commercial and project teams.
About You
To succeed in this role, you'll be a commercially focused leader who enjoys managing complex programmes and building trusted client relationships.
You'll Ideally Have
Significant experience in commercial or framework management within utilities, infrastructure or engineering.
A strong background administering NEC contracts.
Experience overseeing high-value capital works or long-term framework agreements.
Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation and contract management skills.
Strong financial management experience, including forecasting, cost control and reporting.
The confidence to engage with senior stakeholders and influence decision-making.
Previous experience within the UK water industry would be advantageous.
Qualifications
Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
Full UK Driving Licence.
