Description

A regional civil engineering and multi-utility contractor have an opportunity for a Project Manager to work on utility projects across London.
The company operate carry out infrastructure projects for a range of clients including local authorities and major developers across the South East of England.

The Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager responsibilities will include:
Produce and deliver contract programme, ensuring safe, effective and right first time delivery of the specific contract's requirements
Monitor the activities and performance of project
Prepare monthly progress reports for management/client
Record all changes to client requirements and scope of services
Promote, enforce and adhere to the company's Health & Safety Policy and Procedure
Training and development of supervisory and operational employees to ensure the accurate availability of competent staff
Make line managers aware of key issues and solutions
Develop and maintain relationships with relevant client representatives, supply chain and local authorities Manage contractual issues arising with client and sub contractors,
Provide suitable bid support at tender stage
Liaise with the Principal Contractor and other trades to co-ordinate work programmes
Processing all contract Quality and H&S documentation



Experience Required
Suitable Project Managers will have an understanding of NEC . ICE forms of contract and will be able to demonstrate clear experience working on civil engineering or utility projects.
A sound understanding of health and safety legislation is essential
OSH / NEBOSH, SMSTS and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel & Project is essential.
