The business is privately owned and has been established of over 50 years, in recent years they have met the planned growth targets and have recently been awarded significant contracts on the AMP 7 framework. The position offers a great deal of autonomy and the chance to work for a progressive business on a variety of water related schemes and projects.
Reporting the sector Director this a senior position where responsibility for strategic implementation of best practice SHEQ throughout the company will be expected of the successful candidate.
You will manage a team of SHE Advisors across the London region.
You will be responsible for ensuing that legislation is adhered to across the business and that policies are enforced across stakeholders and the supply chain.
Responsibilities will include leading the implementation of initiatives to drive continual improvement of safety, health, environment and quality ;
Monitor, review and update health, safety, environmental and quality policies, procedures and documentation, ensuring they comply with the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 standards. Manage the certification process for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 45001 standards and lead all surveillance and certification audits.
Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate a stable career history working within the civil engineering or utility sectors.
A thorough knowledge of appropriate health, safety and environmental legislation and 9001, 14001 and 45001 is essential
You must be able to demonstrate the ability to set the health, safety, environmental and quality strategy for the Company and be educated to NEBOSH or equivalent NVQ level 5 Occupational H&S Practice.
