Description
This is a newly created role and reports into the sector director. The Business Case Manager will take ownership of the business case for a number of water wholesale transformation programmes ensuring that key stakeholders understand and are fully supportive of the cases across the organisation.
The Role
The scope of the role includes tracking and forecasting of costs, benefit determining, mapping and tracking with responsibility for monthly cost updates and quarterly forecasts of cost and benefits.
Monthly collation, consolidation and review of business case updates from Transformation Programme Managers
Ensuring that a best practice business case re-forecast methodology is applied consistently by the Programme Managers
Reviewing and quality assuring the business case updates in consultation with the Finance Business Partners
Identification of opportunities to reduce cost / spend and close gaps in benefit for Compiling presentations that summarise the business case situation
Support with communicating and gaining buy-in from key stakeholders including Finance Managers and Directors for the business case
Experience Required
Suitable candidates must be educated to Degree level and be able to demonstrate a proven ability to work with multiple business units or programmes and translate in to business case.
A broad experience managing senior stakeholders and ability to constructively challenge peers is essential and a proven experience in ability to design and develop engaging content for senior audiences is essential.
This role will suit a critical thinker driven by outcomes and results with the ability to connect & align complex cross functional Programmes of work.
