Description
A rare opportunity for a Contracts Director has become available with a first-tier highways and infrastructure contractor in London, the company are part of a group that work across the wider civil engineering sector in the UK.
They operate frameworks with Local Authorities across London and in recent years have enjoyed impressive organic growth having been awarded a number of new contracts across the Captial.
The Contracts Director will drive the strategic direction of a number of key contracts with a. combined value of circa £30M per annum.
The Role
The Contracts Director will will drive the contract and have overarching accountability for performance, delivery and play a key role in driving a culture of the highest standards of Health & Safety whist working in collaboration with the Client and stakeholder.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Maintaining long term and collaborative partnerships with the Client
Managing a team of four Contracts Managers promoting a culture of high performance, innovation and continuous improvement in the management of the multi-disciplinary delivery teams and support services.
Managing the design process by way of sub-consultants
Ensure strong commercial and technical performance
Experience Required
Suitable applicants will be ideally be educated to HNC / BSc Civil Engineering and will be able to demonstrate a stable career history working on highways infrastructure or utility projects.
The role may suit a seasoned Contracts Director or equally an ambitious Contracts Manager or Operations Manager or Depot Manager seeking the next step in their career.
The Contracts Director will be proactive and highly driven, and will be positive team leader with the ability to make clear and informed decisions.
A full UK driving license and a safety management qualification such as IOSH or SMSTS are essential.
