Description

Due to an increase in allocated projects on their framework a tier one civil engineering and infrastructure contractor are seeking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work out of their office in East Sussex, The opportunity for flexible working exists with a mixture of home and office working for the successful candidate.
The company are in an an excellent position to offer the successful candidate a long term career and continuity of work within the East Sussex and Kent region.
Project work is water related and reporting to the Commercial Manager you will manage a portfolio of work valued at between £10M £12M per annum.

The Role
Working as part of an established commercial team you will provide support to the Commercial lead on the framework and junior members of the team.
Responsibilities will include: sub-contract procurement, managing sub-contract accounts, producing cost reports and valuations, identifying change to the contract, preparation of CVRs for the various schemes and providing commercial support and guidance to Project and Construction Managers.

Experience Required
Suitable applicants will be educated to BSc Quantity Surveying and will be able to demonstrate no less than five years post graduate experience working on civil engineering, infrastructure or utility projects. A thorough working knowledge of NEC contracts is essential.
