Description
A leading utility contractor have been awarded a significant telecoms framework with some of the UK's largest broadband providers in the UK to install to premises across the South East.
The contractor are helping to build and maintain broadband networks, including the rollout of cutting-edge full fibre broadband to 20 million homes and businesses across London and the South East.
As such they are looking to recruit Fibre Engineer Team Leaders to join their teams in London and the Home Counties.
The roles offer job security, fantastic training and career development and the chance to join a brand new division of an established, successful utility contractor.
The Role
Working closely with the Contracts Manger the Telecoms Fibre Team Leader will assist in supporting, configuring and monitoring the system for the fibre network.
Support and liaise with other departments and customers, to fault-find problems or provide solutions to requests as they arise.
Experience Required
Have an aptitude for learning new skills
Are self-motivated and have a flexible approach to work
Have good interpersonal skills and experience working as a Fibre Engineer, Splicer or on poling contracts within the telecoms sector.
What you need
It’s essential that you have a full and valid driver’s license, and you enjoy using your logic and initiative when taking on practical tasks.
Experience of working in a similar role or an outdoor, safety-critical environment will give you a good insight into what’s needed.
