ESTIMATOR

A new role exists for an Estimator responsible for providing cost estimates for new build schemes for our long-established and well-known construction client. Our client is expected to turnover £400m in 2019, but more impressive is their anticipated net operating profit being north of £50m. They have an exciting portfolio of live projects and importantly a notable pipeline of projects secured into 2022.
THE ROLE:
You will use ‘Esti-mate’ estimating & take-off software, detailing all the traditional factors to produce your tender costs. You will liaise with subcontractors regarding the work packages on the proposed projects and also provide valuable input to the operations teams when the tender has been approved and schemes are ready to commence.
You will also provide regular update reports to the Estimating Director, provide comparison schedules of subcontractors and suppliers costs and monitor prices to identify conforming and non-compatible rates.
ABOUT YOU:
You must have relevant previous Estimating proficiency working within a main construction contracting environment.
Your care to detail will be high together with strong analytical skills to highlight what isn’t included as well as what is, within any received quotations.
You will possess strong time management and communication skills along with a good working knowledge of how to shape an estimate from start to finish and you will possess relevant qualifications to at least HNC/D level.
