Site Manager
£50,000–£56,000 per annum + car allowance and package
Location: London
A leading infrastructure and utilities contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering essential power and civil engineering projects across the region.
The Role
We’re looking for a proactive Site Manager with a strong track record of delivering projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You’ll be responsible for managing all on-site activities, ensuring compliance, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety throughout each phase of delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate works alongside the Construction Project Manager.
Implement CDM requirements and manage health, safety, environmental, and quality standards on site.
Oversee both self-delivered and subcontracted work packages.
Conduct site inductions, inspections, and toolbox talks.
Prepare and issue RAMS and permits.
Adapt ITPs to site-specific permanent works and collate evidence for closure.
Manage material and labour requisitions, including plant hire and off-hire.
Maintain accurate site records, diaries, and cost/forecast reports.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Site Manager within the civil engineering, utilities, or power sectors.
Experience working with a DNO and knowledge of substation projects and NEC3 contracts.
Relevant qualifications including SSSTS/SMSTS, Streetworks (NRSWA) Supervisor, and IOSH (or equivalent).
Strong understanding of CDM regulations, RAMS production, and cost management.
Experience managing trenching, deep excavations, RC works, duct installation, cable pulling, and switchgear installation.
Full UK driving licence (essential).
