Description
A major infrastructure contractor who maintain a strong presence in the utility sector are seeking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to compliment their team in Norfolk.
The Role
Reporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor you will provide support and guidance an Assistant Quantity Surveyor on a range of utility packages ranging from £50-£500K. Typically there will be 20 schemes running at any one time.
The nature of the contract is NEC option C and these are individual civils and M&E works under a five year framework with extensions that could mean a further ten years work after that initial term.
Tasks will generally involve day-day-day management of subcontractors, subcontract procurement, assistance with tender handover meetings, job cost monitoring, valuations and production of weekly CVR report.
Experience Required
Suitable candidates will be educated to HND/ BSc Quantity Surveying and will have a good understanding of NEC forms of contract and be able to demonstrate experience working on framework contracts.
