Description

As part of their planned, continued growth a tier one civil engineering contractor have an opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join their team in the M3/ M4 corridor.
The business operates in the water, gas, power and rail infrastructure sectors across the UK, opportunities to work in the various business divisions are actively promoted within.
The appointed Commercial Manager will manage a range of schemes with a combined value of £15M to include, network installations, new main water pipes. pumping stations and STW upgrades.

The Role
Working along side the Framework Director you will manage and provide leadership to a team of five Quantity Surveyors across the region.
Day to day responsibilities will include:
Ensuring the supply chain is selected and managed as effectively and efficiently as possible with consideration given to risk, cost, quality and safety.
Produce profit and loss budgets and manage the commercial team to ensure budgets are achieved.
Manage any commercial disputes that may arrise
Ensure change is accurately captured and recorded
Support the QS team with the production of accurate CVR's.
Provide commercial support where necessary to senior operational team members.

Experienced Required
Suitable applicants will be educated to HND / BSc level and will able to demonstrate significant experience working on civil engineering, infrastructure or utility projects.
The role is open to both seasoned commercial managers and ambitious managing quantity surveyors seeking the next step up in their careers.
