Description
Schemes will include structures, drainage, and utility works, with individual projects ranging between £5M to £10M each. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will provide support to junior members of the commercial team and work closely with the client.
The contract is administered under NEC3 conditions.
This is a hybrid working role with three days per week expected on site.
The Role
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the commercial delivery of major utility diversions along the HS2 route from London Euston to the West.
You will provide support to the commercial team, helping to ensure that all contracts are run as commercially efficiently as possible. The role will also involve a great deal of client-facing interaction.
Responsibilities include:
Generating revenue and cost reports.
Producing ‘Schedule of Rates’.
Reconciling Subcontractor costs and preparing payment certificates.
Liaising with Operations and Planning to monitor job progress and scope changes.
Reviewing the frameworks to ensure targets are on track to be achieved.
Analysing weekly and monthly cost and revenue data.
Experience Required
The successful candidate will be educated to a BSc Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
It is expected that you will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of success at Senior Quantity Surveyor level.
You will have no less than 5 years of experience working within the civil engineering, utility, or rail sectors for a recognised contractor.
