Description

An established highways and infrastructure contractor that operate across London are seeking to appoint a Managing Quantity Surveyor to complement their team in South East London. The company have successfully tendered a number of significant frameworks in recent months and as such are seeking to strengthen their management team.
This role presents a great career opportunity for a driven Senior or MQS to really make a difference to a growing business, a great degree of autonomy will come with the role and the successful candidate will be able to help influence key factors towards operating systems and working practice and procedures.
The business are part of a wider group that deliver major infrastructure projects across the Europe and endless opportunities to progress within the multi billion parent company exist.

The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Lead you will manage a team of six Quantity Surveyors on a number of contacts with a combined annual turnover of £40M.
Responsibilities will include supporting and overseeing the general post contract function including:
Ensuing the correct verification of sub-contract requisitions has been carried out
Overseeing the management of sub-contract accounts including applications for payment
Liaising with and providing commercial support to site teams
Overseeing the records and production of monthly cost and value reports
Regular liaison with the client

Experienced Required
Suitable candidates will be educated to HNC / BSc in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management and will be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of NEC contracts.
Significant experience at Senior QS / MQS level is essential.
You will be able to demonstrate an excellent grasp of Microsoft Excel and and a proven track record of commercial success delivering infrastructure, highways maintenance and or utility projects.
