The Role
As Commercial Manager, you will take ownership of commercial delivery across multiple projects and frameworks, ensuring projects achieve strong financial and operational outcomes.
Working alongside operational teams and senior leadership, you will drive commercial performance while supporting effective decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities include:
Leading commercial delivery across multiple projects and frameworks
Driving project profitability through forecasting, cost management and commercial planning
Managing contractual obligations and maintaining commercial governance
Developing strategies to improve commercial outcomes and maximise opportunity
Supporting bid activity and pre-construction commercial input
Reviewing project performance and implementing improvement actions
Leading procurement and supply chain commercial strategies
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
Developing and mentoring commercial teams
Supporting business growth through continuous improvement initiatives
Success in Your First 12 Months
You will be successful in this position if you:

The Candidate
Applications are welcomed from commercially focused professionals with experience delivering infrastructure, civil engineering or major construction projects.
You will ideally demonstrate:
Experience operating in a Commercial Manager, Managing Quantity Surveyor or Senior Commercial role
Strong commercial and financial management capability
Excellent understanding of contract administration and commercial controls
Ability to influence project teams and drive performance
Experience developing and leading teams
Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Desirable:
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Civil Engineering or related discipline
Experience within infrastructure, highways or major project environments
Professional membership or chartered status advantageous
