Description

As part of their ongoing growth a leading infrastructure services provider have an opportunity for a Risk Manager to complement their team in the South East.
The Risk Manager will lead and own the implementation of the Risk Management Framework and the embedment of risk management capability across the capital programme that will assist strategic decision making. The Risk Manager will be accountable for managing the risk management framework for c£2bn of capital scope.

The Role
Lead the PMO Risk team in achieving the following team objectives:
lead the activities required to deliver accurate insight into likely performance of the c£2bn capital delivery programme.
Ensure risk insights are fed back in the capital programme as early as possible to minimise threats and maximise opportunities.
Record and report on all risks within the Capital Programme in a consistent manner. and to record risks at project, programme and portfolio level within the Capital Programme •
Support the Capital Delivery Programme in managing risk effectively to deliver the required scope.
Update the processes and procedures and ensure industry best practice is followed at all times.

Experience Required
Expert knowledge and experience in relation to risk management principles and stakeholder engagement associated with capital programmes.
Detailed understanding of the dependencies within programme, governance, commercial and risk management
Experience of strategy development
Stakeholder management experience
Experience with working across a complex project delivery cycle
Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills combined with effective leadership and management skills to set direction for the business in terms of risk management strategies, prioritises the risk team’s workload and ensures objectives and timescales are met
