Description
The company carry out a variety of projects including coastal defence, port & harbour regeneration and development, river management and public realm schemes.
Projects range from £500K - £15M in value and clients include local authorities, the environment agency and private developers.
The business is growing organically and with this growth the opportunity for progression to Commercial Manager is achievable within the next five years.
The Role
Reporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor responsibilities will include:
Collection, review and analysis of site data and maintaining cost records
Subcontract procurement & change management
Completion of early warnings, compensation events and their agreement with the client
Carry out monthly Cost & Value reconciliation's
Forecasting cost though out project life cycle
Preparation of monthly project valuations and agreement with client through to final account
Expereince Required
Suitable candidates will be educated to BSc Quantity Surveying or equivalent and be able to demonstrate no less than five years post graduate experience working on civil engineering projects.
An excellent working knowledge of NEC contracts is highly desirable.
