The role is permanent, hybrid working with 1 day working in the office with the team and the other days divided between site visits and home working.
Please note, a full drivers license and the use of a car are required for this role.
The role
As a Contract and Supplier Manager you will build relationships and work closely with our suppliers, you will be key to creating better opportunities for innovations, ensuring best practice for Health and Safety and creating stronger strategies to drive performance against contractual expectations, cost reductions and value maximisation for Southern Water.
In addition, the Contract and Supplier Manager will be communicating and supporting our internal stakeholders you will be managing multiple suppliers and help resolve and identify issues as well as getting to visit both clean and waste water sites. You will be:
-Delivering best practice contract lifecycle management, and fostering cohesive, transparent relationships with suppliers to deliver joint value creation.
- Delivering contract and supplier management strategy, as directed by the Senior Contract & Supplier Manager for all assigned supplier contracts.
- Reviewing and maintaining adherence to contract lifecycle management best practice framework, including processes, procedures, tools, and templates, consulting the Centre of Excellence where required to ensure consistency in application.
Experience/Qualifications required
You will use your Contract Management, CIPS qualification or equivalent within this role as well as you excellent communication skills, be highly influential and able to manage expectations of stakeholders across the business.
