Quantity Surveyor – Water / Utilities
Contract | Outside IR35 | Kent

We’re recruiting an experienced Quantity Surveyor for an Outside IR35 contract supporting South East Water engineering projects across Kent.

This role suits a commercially focused QS with strong experience in utilities and high-volume works, delivering tight cost control within a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities
Weekly cost and revenue reporting

Control of daily completed works submissions

Preparation and management of Schedules of Rates

Subcontractor cost reconciliation and payment certificates

Liaison with Operations and Planning on progress and scope changes

Commercial review of schemes against targets

Pricing high-volume, low-value works

Supporting WIP reviews

Weekly and monthly cost analysis

Requirements
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in water, utilities, civil or mechanical engineering

Strong background in high-volume, low-value frameworks

Working knowledge of NEC contracts

Excellent Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, lookups)

Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills

Desirable:
Degree in Quantity Surveying or HNC/HND in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
